Instead, there's like copy paste side mission for every settlement takeover such as 'transport this hacker to this console and protect him 3-4 times in a row' or 'destroy these generators and hack a console.' Doesn't matter how much of the settlements you blow up because the destructable stuff always respawns no matter what. Also they got rid of one of the best parts of the Just Cause games, liberating settlements by blowing shit up. The cutscenes also looked like ass and still do. Not as bad as I remember(since I think they put out a patch to improve visuals) but it still doesn't look as sharp and beautiful as JC3 did. The game ran fine, but looked like crap, and it still does on the PS5. Coming directly from JC3 it was obvious the resolution or something was way down, and I guessed it was due to JC3 running like shit. First off the graphics looked like complete crap, like a vaseline filter over the entire screen. Just Cause 4 was disappointing at launch for me. There is also one vehicle unlock that requires you to airlift a black boat out of a lake and over land to one of the garages. Though, there was one of the last wingsuit challenges that gave me PTSD from doing it so many times. Also, everyone hated the challenges in the game, but other than a few really annoying ones, I didn't have too much trouble cleaning them up towards the end of the game as a lot of the challenges are impossible to attain until you unlock other vehicles or upgrades. The driving controls for some of the vehicles like motorcycles are absolute dogshit. Not to mention the SAM sites respawn for some reason. The game still has its annoyances, SAM sites make bringing out a helicopter to blow up stuff annoying, as well as tanks having pinpoint accuracy and knocking you out of the sky in one or two hits. I wish the game also had a photo mode because goddamn its gorgeous. Its so fucking satisfying seeing everything explode and crumble. I had so much fun going around to the different settlements and just demolishing shit. The wingsuit is one of the best additions to the gameplay formula ever. With the PS5 out, I loaded it up again to see if it ran better and godamn I forgot how beautiful this fucking game was, and it runs perfect on the PS5(just wish there was a 60fps mode). I made it about 2/3 through the game before dropping it for other games I think. Despite its issues, I really enjoyed what I was playing when it ran good. Patch ultimately fixed the load times, but the performance was just flat out bad, and apparently the performance got worse when the DLCs came out. I played the shit out of Just Cause 3 despite its horrible console launch(I played on PS4 launch console) with really shaky performance and absolutely flat out long ass load times.
